Discover how a Grid Master, or Gridnik, makes each day count, gets more done, feels powerful, and stays healthy and happy.
What is a Grid Master?
A Grid Master, or Gridnik, is an individual who uses my Grid system to thrive across life, work, career and their personal wellbeing.
Such balance is vital to avoiding ruts, resentments, blinkered pursuit of agendas that fundamentally don’t excite us. The Grid helps people design lives and work that sustain vitality, motivation and daily excitement as well as results we can write home about.
5 Grid Master Practices
Practice 1: Start with a positive affirmation
Grid Masters frequently start each day with a positive mantra or affirmation. For example:
“Today I honour my true potential for being a loving being.”
“Every day I get better and better at creating the life I love.”
“I bring my creativity and optimism to everything I do.”
Practice 2: Getting focused
Grid Masters succeed by focusing on key priorities from the monthly Grid and turning intention into action via daily tasks. For example:
- Goal: complete project X becomes a day Task: get three quotes
- Goal: improve my romantic relationship becomes a day Task: mindful 6 sec kiss
- Goal: new job becomes a day Task: 15min job search
- Goal: raise my fitness becomes a day Task: 15 push-ups and 20 squats
Practice 3: Energy surfing
Surfing energy you have by tackling the task that matches your current state. This way, you’re not fighting against yourself to achieve your goals. Read more about how energy surfing has a positive impact on productivity.
Practice 4: Getting on with it!
Grid Masters get off to a flying start because they tackle tasks they are ready for and boost their motivation by ‘highlighting’ completed tasks.
Practice 5: Taking time to self-refuel
In a time of constant ‘On!’, a master Gridnik finds regular windows for self-care and nurture as these reenergise. Self-care is an integral part of the Grid system and is never something to be neglected.
Are you feeling healthy and joyful?
Doing what you’ve always done is a super easy way to get into autopilot. For many, this means more of a life they don’t find satisfying or motivating. In a keynote I gave to over 200 professionals, only four hands went up when I asked the audience whether their current life was fulfilling. This is a terrible statistic.
The Grid supports vital personal transformation.
