The day is facilitated by me, Dr. Magdalena Bak-Maier. Using multi-sensory activities (writing, movement, musical instruments, breath work, drawing and guided meditation) specially designed to tap the mind, heart, body, and spirit, I help you work with what is true for you to bring:
- vital awareness and insights,
- tools and techniques you can use again and again,
- essential personal development.
Learning to work in this manner will make your life calmer, more fruitful and fun.
The Heart and Mind Integration Retreat runs from 9:30 to 17:30. Delicious food and drinks are on offer along with fresh air breaks and the opportunity to retreat into a sacred meditation space if you wish. Four 90min segments offer plenty of time for deeper work while the group atmosphere creates a warm, safe and welcoming fellowship. The goal of the day is to leave you having more insights and the necessary skills to create a clear plan of action.
The activities are rooted in cutting-edge neuroscience to engage the left and right brain at different levels. I created and tailored them specifically for integration work.

The retreat mixes focused activities with guided debriefs. Expect to work on your own, in pairs and small groups. The day recognises that sometimes we learn more by listening to others and other times by sharing our stories. Even if you have reservations about interacting with strangers, keep in mind that witnessing and hearing each others’ progression through the day inspires everyone.

The Lumen Center is located at the heart of King’s Cross in Bloomsbury London, making the venue extremely accessible for guests travelling from all places. Closest stations include: Russell Square, St Pancras International, King’s Cross London or London Euston.
The community center boasts a beautiful garden, internal quiet space meditation chamber and delicious cafe. On the doorsteps are multiple cafes and shops as well as a few parks within a 5 min walking distance. It is the perfect venue for a day of reflection, insight and relaxation.
