The external world puts a lot of pressure on individuals to appear successful and happy. In the pursuit of something ‘out there’, we can sometimes become scattered and lose connection to what’s inside. As historian, philosopher and best-selling author of ‘
My work shows that thriving lives happen when we re-connect within. A retreat allows the time and space to pause, regain clarity and figure out
- what is and where life finds us,
- how to move forward, and
- who exactly is moving.
At Make Time Count we create powerful, time-efficient, and deeply moving retreats designed to align mind, heart, body, and spirit using neuroscience, positive psychology, and powerful and tested methodologies for lasting behaviour change. Together, they gently shift internal blocks to progress, heal conflict, and restore wellbeing. When we integrate within, we feel more confident, wise and at ease.
Reconnect with your true centre of power and become more responsive and in tune with life.
The day is facilitated by me, Dr. Magdalena Bak-Maier. Using multi-sensory activities (writing, movement, musical instruments, breath work, drawing and guided meditation) specially designed to tap the mind, heart, body, and spirit, I help you work with what is true for you to bring:
- vital awareness and insights,
- tools and techniques you can use again and again,
- essential personal development.
Learning to work in this manner will make your life calmer, more fruitful and fun.
The Heart and Mind Integration Retreat runs from 9:30 to 17:30. Delicious food and drinks are on offer along with fresh air breaks and the opportunity to retreat into a sacred meditation space if you wish. Four 90min segments offer plenty of time for deeper work while the group atmosphere creates a warm, safe and welcoming fellowship. The goal of the day is to leave you having more insights and the necessary skills to create a clear plan of action.
The activities are rooted in cutting-edge neuroscience to engage the left and right brain at different levels. I created and tailored them specifically for integration work.
Each Retreat is Unique
Retreats take place throughout the year. While the integration theme remains constant, each retreat has a different theme and varied activities that match the needs and energy of the group, the yearly cycle and the latest developments in my work as a master practitioner. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning, there is always something new to gain.

The friendly atmosphere and varying experience of fellow attendees is an ideal way to build new perspectives.
