Beat Your Inner Perfectionist: what to expect
Our practical approach
We meet over two days to give you the opportunity to practice what you learn. Each 4-hour workshop helps you:
- Establish your starting point and a specific area where you will apply your learning.
- Immerse yourself in key learning (theory and research) to have a sound foundation.
- Practice and learn the skills to excel on healthy terms.
There will be practical exercises to experiment with in your life and at work between day 1 and day 2. All delegates receive:
- A free seat at a Grid Clinic of your choice (£90 value) – these are online, small-group coaching sessions where you can benefit from further coaching from Magdalena.
- PDFs of the presentations.
- Supporting worksheets to make positive change.
Day 1: We begin by unpacking the mechanics of perfectionism, including its underlying neurobiology and psychological mechanisms, so you understand them and can take charge of them. You will understand where your tendencies come from and be able to decide where and how you want things to change.
Day 2: We explore and work with the inner critic who uses the perfectionist brain circuits to drive overwork and hold impossibly high standards. The day will focus on practical and constructive ways to harness the inner critic as an ally.
Using a series of powerful exercises and small group fun activities and discussions, you will also explore your best self, learn to appreciate what works for healthy and more rewarding relationships, and how to avoid the paralysis of perfectionism to feel more creative and resourceful.
