Over the last weeks I have been working with a group of very intelligent and amazing people. What struck me about them though is that while they are super smart, they are having massive difficulties with making good use of time. As we explored their aspirations and barriers together at a weekend retreat, what became clear is that in most cases what is missing is clarity of what they really want. Having real clarity about what you would like to have in your life is a massive time saver. I often do this exercise with my clients where we look at what they are moving towards by looking at what has happened in the past, what they have now and what they want in the future. What I have learned from this exercise is that every person is moving towards what they want though often indirectly. In my experience this rambling way of going forward, which often manifests itself in frustration, is due to lack of conscious clarity about what people want. For many the answer to this question remains stuck in their subconscious. When we explore this vision and make it clear, people stop wasting time and are able to pursue their dreams directly. This saves valuable time, adds energy and creates tremendous momentum as well as results. It builds confidence and self-belief. Whether you do this on your own or with someone, I encourage you to develop clarity for what you really want and then get started. The world is waiting.
